These Terms & Conditions apply to all programs, sessions, trials, packages, and services provided by The Surfing Week Academy (“the Academy”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By enrolling a child, booking a trial, or attending any session, parents/guardians (“you”) agree to the following.

1.⁠ ⁠PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The Surfing Week Academy is a structured ocean sports and water safety academy delivering coached group sessions for children aged 4–18 years, primarily at Kite Beach, Dubai.

Programs may include (but are not limited to):

● Ocean confidence & water safety

● Surfing and bodyboarding

● Swimming and open-water skills

● Beach-based fitness and games

● Ocean awareness and environmental education Sessions are delivered in small groups, with strict safety ratios and qualified instructors.

2.⁠ ⁠ELIGIBILITY & PARTICIPATION

● Programs are open to children aged 4–18 years.

● All participants must be physically and medically fit to take part in ocean-based activities.

● Children must be able to follow instructions and participate safely in a group setting.

● We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue participation if a child’s behaviour or ability presents a safety risk to themselves or others.

3.⁠ ⁠FREE TRIAL SESSIONS

● Free trials are available to new families only.

● A free trial is both an experience and an assessment.

● Trial sessions are group-based, not private coaching.

● Completion of a free trial does not guarantee placement in a specific group or level.

● Trial availability is limited and subject to capacity and conditions.

4.⁠ ⁠SESSION PACKAGES (3, 5, 10 SESSIONS)

● Multi-session packages are valid only for the stated number of sessions.

● Packages are non-transferable between children or families.

● Packages must be used within the specified validity period communicated at booking.

● Unused sessions expire and are not carried forward unless stated otherwise.

5.⁠ ⁠TERM ENROLMENT

● Term enrolments are sold as a fixed block of sessions.

● Missed sessions are not refundable.

● Term fees secure your child’s place, staffing, equipment, permits, and operational planning.

6.⁠ ⁠ATTENDANCE, MISSED SESSIONS & MAKE-UPS

● Parents are responsible for ensuring punctual attendance.

● Late arrivals may result in reduced participation for safety reasons.

● Missed sessions due to holidays, illness, or personal commitments are not credited or refunded.

● Where operationally possible, the Academy may offer limited make-up sessions, but these are:

○ Not guaranteed

○ Subject to availability

○ Must be used within the same term

● Sessions are never rolled into future terms.

7.⁠ ⁠WEATHER, OCEAN & SAFETY CONDITIONS

● All sessions are subject to safe weather and ocean conditions.

● The Academy reserves the right to:

○ Modify activities

○ Move sessions onshore

○ Reschedule sessions

○ Cancel sessions

● Decisions are made solely by the Academy based on safety assessments.

● No refunds are issued for sessions affected by conditions; rescheduling may be offered at our discretion.

8.⁠ ⁠COACHING & GROUP PLACEMENT

● Group placement is based on:

○ Age

○ Confidence

○ Ability

○ Safety considerations

● We may move a child between groups or levels at any time to ensure safety and development.

● Coaching methods, content, and progression are determined by the Academy and may change.

9. HEALTH, MEDICAL & DISCLOSURE

● Parents must fully disclose all medical conditions, allergies, learning needs, or behavioural considerations.

● Failure to disclose relevant information may result in immediate removal from the program without refund.

● Children who are unwell should not attend sessions.

10. SAFETY, RISK & ASSUMPTION OF RISK

● Ocean sports involve inherent risks, including waves, currents, weather changes, and physical activity.

● While all reasonable precautions are taken, participation is at your own risk.

● By enrolling, parents acknowledge and accept these risks on behalf of their child.

11. CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS

● All bookings are non-refundable unless stated otherwise.

● No refunds are given for:

○ Missed sessions ○ Weather-related changes

○ Withdrawal mid-term ○ Non-attendance

● Refunds (if any) are assessed case by case and are at the Academy’s sole discretion.

12. MEDIA, PHOTOGRAPHY & CONTENT

● Photography and video may be taken during sessions.

● Content may be used for:

○ Marketing

○ Social media

○ Website

○ Training purposes

● Parents may opt out of marketing use via the waiver.

● No compensation is payable for use of images or video.

13. PARENT CONDUCT

● Parents must treat staff, coaches, and other families with respect.

● Aggressive, abusive, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.

● The Academy reserves the right to terminate enrolment without refund if conduct standards are breached.

14. EQUIPMENT & PERSONAL BELONGINGS

● Required kit will be communicated before sessions.

● The Academy is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items.

● Equipment misuse may result in removal from activities.

15. CHANGES TO PROGRAMS

● The Academy may modify:

○ Timetables

○ Locations

○ Session formats

○ Staffing

● Changes will be communicated where possible.

16. DATA & PRIVACY

● Personal data is collected for operational and safeguarding purposes only.

● Data is stored securely and not shared with third parties except where legally required.

17. LIABILITY LIMITATION

● To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Academy, its staff, and partners shall not be liable for:

○ Injury

○ Loss

○ Damage

○ Consequential or indirect loss

● Liability is limited to the value of the session or package purchased.

18. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.

19. ACCEPTANCE

By booking, enrolling, or attending any session, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions in full.
